Authentication of Foreign Power of Attorney

Documents Required

1. Original Power of attorney along with special stamp from treasury affixed
2. Original Document [ In case of Schedule mentioned in Power of Attorney ]
3. Letter addressed to the District Registrar requesting authentication
4. Copy of ID Proof of Power Agent
5. Recent Passport Size Photograph of the Power Agent -- 2 Nos.

Procedure for Authentication

• Submit the letter to the District Registrar along with copy of the Power of attorney(affixed with special stamp from treasury),Copy of Original Document [In case of Schedule mentioned in Power of Attorney], Copy of ID Proof of Power Agent
• Power agent has to appear before the Sub-registrar(Admin) after 2 days of submission of application along with original Power of Attorney , Original ID Proof,Original Title Deed and two recent passport size photographs
• After scrutinizing the documents produced and Affixing the signature and Thumb impression before the Sub-registrar, the power agent has to appear before the District Registrar for Authentication
• The Original Power of Attorney will be issued on the same day to the Power Agent
